Christmas Event - Holiday Discussions

Question of the year: What was your favorite moment of 2012?

You can take two cards from here for your answer! Don't forget to reply to other people's threads and enjoy a chat. Let's bond for the last few days of this year.

Also as an apology for skipping a day to post this, you can grab one extra card from there too, making it three cards!

Well, most of the year was pretty stressful, but I guess there are a few moments that I think back on with a smile. The first was at the beginning of the year when I got my college acceptance; I had to drop out 4 years ago due to health reasons, so this time I only applied to two local state colleges, and had already been rejected from one, so it was a real relief when I got accepted to the other one!

Another favorite moment was going to Otakon in Baltimore with my best friend and doing cosplay for the first time! (I mean, I've done L before but, uh....white shirt + blue jeans just doesn't feel like the real thing XD). We both cosplayed from Homestuck on Friday and Saturday, and it was also the first time I'd ever sewn my own costumes, so that was exciting too! I had a couple wardrobe mishaps but I can't wait to do it again (and better!) next year. Also find better troll paint solutions... XD

And I guess my third favorite moment of the year was getting a phone call from my other best friend on my birthday - all the way from Japan! It was a really nice surprise and really made my day ;w;

okay and also getting p4g the solid gold edition was a pretty awesome moment too ngl. my gamestop is the best ;; even though I missed my chance to preorder the special edition, they managed to get one for me when the game came out! best voice mail message ever X3

Took: miko15, tamaranian02, and changling07!

Oh my friend loves going to Otakon every year (I have issues with large crowds, so she Skyped me while she was there to show me around a bit)

Oh nice as well, I hope your friend is doing well in Japan and that you're enjoying p4g! :) (I do wish to play it...Vita why you so expensively cheap? ;-; )

Yeah, the crowds at Otakon can be overwhelming sometimes D: but it was nice for her to skype you so you could experience it from a safe distance!

Last I heard she was having a blast! She's there with the JET program, I think, and at one point she was going for an education major, so it's really up her alley. Half of me misses her though ;; while the other half wishes I could be there too! I've actually been keeping P4G as a motivator to get me through the rest of the semester, and now that the holidays are almost through, I may finally get a chance to take it out ;; but I've been hearing amazing things about the additions, so I'm sure the wait will be worth it! /o/

Belated congratulations on your college acceptance! ♥

Also, yay for first time cosplayers! I still haven't got the guts or buddies or just.. guts to do it, haha. I'm usually just the photographer and critic. (-w-;) So it's funny when I put up some of my favourite pictures after the event, I get cosplayers asking me if I got their team's photos and stuff like that. It's also funny when I board a train to (or from) the event with a cosplayer who wears their full set of costume back home. XD

The photographer is an important role though :O I know half the fun for me was when people asked to take our photos ^w^ There was this one boy who was so polite and sweet when he took our pictures ;w; Though one of my favorite moments was when a friend came up to tell us how she noticed our cosplays from afar and thought we did a great job - she didn't realize it was us until she came up to us though! And her cosplay was AMAZING so we were really flattered ;////; I think it's a lot of fun to do cosplay when you've got a friend to do it with you :3
