12 Days of Princesses: Day 4: Tiana's Resolutions

Tiana is a super hard worker, so she sets lots of goals for herself! "What are some of your goals for the new year?" she asks.

This is a recommendation game! Comment with at least 3 cartoons/comics/anime/manga/games you love and why others should give them a try, so everyone can make it their New Years resolution to try something new! Please list a little about each, rather than just titles. Your original comment is all that's required to get prizes, but don't be afraid to reply to others and start a discussion!

Prize: 2 puzzle cards and a retro ticket

CLOSED! (Although you're still welcome to chat if you like~)

Baccano! is a simply fantastic anime series. The novels are even better. Like with most light novels, the the writing is a bit subpar, but the colorful cast and ridiculous antics completely make up for it. It's honestly one of the best uses of an ensemble cast I've seen and I'm amazed by how well Narita manages to make everything fit together. It's also got one of the best dubs that I've ever seen.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a series that everyone should at least try out once! It's a clever take on the mahou shoujo system and while it's not the first to tackle most of the issues it does, it does so in a way that's interesting and thought-provoking. It also manages to have a touch of darkness without being grimdark2deep, imo. The cast is wide and varied and everyone feels connected. I absolutely adore it.

The Witch's House is a short RPG maker that again, everyone should try at least once. It's novel counterpart was just recently translated and adds a whole new level of depth to the characters present in the RPG maker game. Ellen and Viola are two deeply interesting and painfully human characters. It's probably my favorite RPG maker game, tbh.

As an added bonus, since we're on the subject of RPG maker games, I'd also recommend The Crooked Man to anyone who hasn't played it. It's one of the best representations of clinical depression that I've seen in fiction. It's deeply interesting and terribly heart breaking. Words can't describe how fantastic it is.
