Utena was walking by when she lost her duelist ring somewhere in a pile of leaves. While she was literally combing through the leaves in an attempt to find it, she bumped into the table and knocked the invention over. It seems the whole thing was very unstable, because it set the invention exploding and reduced it to a splotch of ash!
Tsubasa didn't know it, but he was the victim of the ink snowman! That black spot...was all that remained of him, having being defeated by a vicious enemy!
As any person must know, ink snowpeople are powered by rings hidden in their top hats. However, that's not why all snowmen and snowwomen wear their hats....some do to hide the evil bedhead that can happen when it gets too warm out. (All well-knowing snowpeople carry combs to combat such evil bedhead though) The dried leaves that were left behind...? A last ditch effort to try not to melt in such a warm classroom.
...of course, nothing worked though and only those items were left behind. Perhaps one day, the real truth behind the "myth" of the ink snowman would be revealed...
And there goes Tsubasa to the library to research on these mysterious ink snowmen!! Snowmen's last ditch efforts are always so... saddening to see though. ;w;
It was Kanata who lost Suzuya's ring, so they had to go through the pile of dried leaves they just raked to see if it was under all of that. Instead, they found a pink comb belonging to a girl who had found the ring, thinking she could keep it as a souvenir since she's been admiring him from afar. She probably didn't notice she left it until someone recognized it.
"It's gone! It's gone, it's gone it's gone!" Tsubasa freaked out over the fact that the invention he had been working on was gone. "Where could have it gone? I know it can't walk away. No wa-"
He then noticed something shining from the table where the big black splotch was. It looked like some kind of ring.
"It looked like a part that fell off of my invention, but I can't be sure.. it certainly doesn't look like a gear or a nut..." Tsubasa tilted his head. It was too small to fit his finger, so he would think it'd belong to someone with smaller fingers.
He examined the table some more, tilting his head a little over to the floor. Dried autumn leaves trailed off from underneath.
"Whoa, whoeever took off with my invention must've had fun with the leaves!! I know I ha- wait no no, I need to get back my invention!!" He raced out of the office, following the path of leaves.
As he did so though, a radiant sparkling pink comb flew to his direction and landed right on the inventor's head.
"OWWWWWW- you could poke an eye with that!" he exclaimed, tearing a little. It didn't help that some of the glitter from the comb had decorated onto his face.
He took a moment to make sure his head wasn't bleeding or anything. Then as he were to continue to the leaf path, Tsubasa heard a bark.
A dog...? He thought to himself.
Just when he decided to look around for it, the ruffled-looking corgi appeared right in front of him. Covered in black ink and the dried leaves that Tsubasa was following, it looked up, barked and panted happlily at him.
"So you were the culprit, huh? You're so cute~ Come here, come here, I got a treat for you!"
I think someone was trying to play catch with the corgi and then failed... I would say most likely Tsuukiko unless someone in Seigetsu is that flamboyant enough to carry such a girly comb fufufu... kajsnda haha i also realize i still don't remember names well ;;;
At least whoever stole Tsubasa's invention left a pink comb and ring as compensation. Still, that didn't quite mean that he knew what to do with them! Handing both of them off to Tsukiko (without being very aware of the implications of what the latter item could bring), he eventually set to playing detective. He didn't find his invention until much later, when he found a nice pile of leaves to jump in that had been recently raked. There was a loud crack when he did as well, and he couldn't help the tears when he realised it was his poor invention stuck beneath him.
There was a note that was attached to the invention, however, saying "I just didn't want you to get caught up in another explosion." … It was oddly touching!
/gets popcorn to see mobs of boys chasing after Tsubasa due to his gift/ Oh well, poor Tsubasa! At least his invention didn't explode when he sat on it, that'd be... really disastrous. xD;
Looking closely at the dried leaves, you could defiantly see that there wasn't one leaf from the same tree. Considering this, it was probably someone collection. Someone must have showed it to someone else, looking closely at the pink comb a blue hair was spotted. Whoever watched the collection or owned it had blue hair. Guessing the ring was from the same person. Whoever lost these things must have left in a hurry. This was because fire alarm went of and everyone needed to evacuate the building and after the coast was clear the school needed to be closed and no one was allowed to enter untill the next day.
Hopefully, whoever's cleaning the room doesn't just toss all those painstakingly collected leaves away. D: That'd be such a disaster for the collector! Not that I know anyone who has blue hair and owns a pink comb, hmm... xD
