Last Friday Night 25!

Games? Movies? Prank set-ups? It's time to figure out what the Academy was up to last night based on the clues and evidence given! :D

Here are the items:
gold, paper, pencil.
★ This is an open ended question game!
★ There are no right or wrong answers.
★ Be as creative as you like!
★ You don't have to know the characters to answer, you can use "they", "someone" and leave it to the reader's imagination! :D
★ An example:
Items: mic, sake, chicken.
Answer: Someone spiked the punch with sake and it turned into an all-out karaoke contest to see who can serenade Nagoya the chicken the best. Whoever wins gets to kiss the bird.

★ You get 2 cards for answering!
★ At the end of the round, 1 extra card will be given to the best comment!
★ This round closes on 28th September.

Oh nooooo~ There are no participants for Round 24! You still have some time before the deadline to throw some weird story in for some cards! Try it out right here!

I also noticed response has been lacklustre for this particular game, so tell me your thoughts about it so we can improve! Are 3 words too many? Is it not fun - should we replace it with something else? Or is it just naaaaah for you? Tell us & we'll fix it! ;)

It's a simple guessing game -- how much is the gold worth. And someone has to keep track of the guesses and find a scale...

A 50-yen gold coin was tucked away in the corner of the entrance to the classroom. It had caused much grief today -- every time someone bent down to try and pull it off the floor (it was super-glued to the floor, of course), a slip of paper with a turtle scrawled on it in pencil would be slapped quickly on their back as a mark of shame. After a morning of such hilarity as the students filed in for school, it was time for the teacher to arrive for the first lesson of the day.

Naoshi-sensei glanced down at the coin and felt all the students' eyes zero in on him. He stifled a snort as he looked back up and saw the various turtles slapped on the kids' backs... he was the one who had super-glued the coin there, after all.

Commentary
Haha I'm always one of the few people responding so I'm not sure exactly what's wrong... technically you can get two cards for making one sentence with three words. I don't mind writing more for the chance of getting one card as writing stories is fun for me, but sometimes it seems like I'm spending a silly amount of effort for that extra card when one or two sentences will get me two cards for sure. I'm not writing so much for the reward but more because I enjoy the game, so I guess the problem could be with the reward scale or because the game isn't entertaining to others...?

The fight for the Holy Golden Pencil had gotten way, way too out of hand.

It was rumored to magically have all the answers! Never fail a test again... it will write them for you.

Now students were skipping class, crawling into airducts, and searching every inch of the bathrooms just over a rumor. At times, it even got violent-- thrown paper planes leading to paper cuts! (The horror. Paper cuts are nasty, okay) It was making their grades go down, not up.

The one who came up with it and even put fake treasure hunt clues all of the school couldn't decide to finally stop it or not...

As for the game itself, I think it's a bit too much effort for so few cards? It's the same amount of cards people get in easier games, per example. I think maybe something like mad libs may be more entertaining? I think they even have computer generated stories on the web to make it easier on the mods? I do like the idea of a more creative game like this, though!

"Hey, look! This new wrapping paper is so shiny! Maybe we should buy it? There's not much time before it's Christmas!" My friend yelled, a wide smile on his face. I was writing an essay using my new pencil so I didn't hear his words at. At least not before he pulled my sleeve, trying to get my attention.

Though this game is already updated a little bit, I have to say that I really really have liked the idea of this game. :D It has been very fun to think what kind of stories you could write and how you can use the given words.
